Male Pelvic Health

asheville erectile dysfunction, male pelvic health

Pelvic pain affects men too,but unfortunately is not commonly discussed in the public or medical community. Men have pelvic floors made up of a group of muscles that run from the pubic bone in the front, to the coccyx in the back. These muscles are skeletal muscles that may become weak or tight, or incoordinated for multiple reasons – causing male pelvic pain.

Male pelvic pain may be due to a specific incidence or from something that developed over time. Some frequently seen cases include:

  • Pelvic floor muscle weakness or tightness

  • Nerve dysfunction

  • Urinary urgency or frequency

  • Erectile dysfunction

  • Post surgical complications

  • Post cancer treatment

  • Constipation
